1992 964 RS Lightweight LHD Finished in Rubystone Red with rubystone/violet & grey leather. 94,500 kilometres C00 German delivery vehicle supplied new on 24th March by Porsche Stuttgart. Specification includes Recaro bucket seats, limited-slip differential, 17″cup magnesium wheels, 5-speed gearbox, A/C delete option. Imported into the UK at the end of 2015 by the last owner who purchased the car from renowned Porsche RS specialist Thomas Schmitz in Germany. This was a car from Schmitz’s personal collection which he had owned for some 11 years, during which time it was fastidiously maintained as one would expect. In addition to this a journal was kept logging every mile covered, a regime which has been kept up by the subsequent UK owner. In 2016 the car was taken to Porsche Specialist Redline Racing of Cleveland and it was inspected with the intention of making the car mechanically tip-top. The engine was taken out of the car, stripped down and rebuilt with genuine parts only. Various suspension, steering and brake components were removed and refurbished or replaced. 1970 DS 21 Pallas EFI LHD Finished in sable metallise with black leather interior Fitted with factory air conditioning Imported from Greece in 2013 by Classic Citroen specialists Andrew Brodie Engineering. Having received a request from a customer for a rust free DS Pallas EFI it was decided that it would be preferable to source such a vehicle on the continent to meet this criteria. This particular example was located in Athens and a flight was booked for the car to be inspected by Brodie’s. The vendor explained that he’d had the car fully restored and spent circa 30,000 euros on parts alone, all from Citroen specialist Jean Blondeau in Paris. Once the inspection was completed it was decided that the car could be driven back to the UK, it completed this 2,000 mile journey effortlessly and without fault. No real surprise given the expenditure the car had received and the overall condition it was presented in. Since arriving here at Avantgarde we have had it fully serviced, again by Andrew Brodie Engineering, fitted a Retrosound radio and had the air conditioning system serviced. A very special car fitted with very rare factory A/C and ready to enjoy.
2005 XK8 4.2S 41,000 miles from new. Finished in platinum silver with warm charcoal leather. Unveiled at the 2005 Geneva International Salon, the 4.2-S was the Final Edition of the original X100 series XK. It had a number of special features exclusive to this model including polished door tread plates with chequered flag accents, leather edged embossed floor mats, special white growler bonnet badge with chequered flag accents and darkened rear light clusters. 1979 Aston Martin Vantage Manual V540 An original factory V8 Vantage supplied new by Reg Vardy Limited of Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne and Wear to a Mr Richard Adams of Wylam Hall, Northumbria on 1st September 1979. Supplied by the factory in the striking colour combination of raven black with red leather interior. This particular vehicle has the most comprehensive history of any car I have ever seen. It comprises of two 3″ files and 3 service history booklets! Every MOT is present from 1983 and the car was serviced every year until it went into a private collection just under 3 years ago, since which time it has only covered a few hundred miles but has had many thousands of pounds spent on her. We have yet to tally up the total expenditure of this vehicles upkeep, all of which is documented in its history, but just to give you an indication the first service, by Aston Martin Newport Pagnel cost £956.54 in 1981, the last major service – also at Aston Martin Newport Pagnel – cost £9,390.11. 1995 Porsche 993 Turbo Arena red with black leather interior 65,000 miles A C16 UK car supplied new by AFN Great West Road, London Specification includes air conditioning, sports seats, Turbo S Aerokit, electric sliding sunroof, electric seats, remote Porsche alarm system and Becker Indianapolis Pro CD player with satellite navigation. This vehicles comprehensive history file includes a large folder of service invoices, MOT’s and the original service book, featuring a wealth of stamps. 1978 Fiat 130 Coupe 3200cc V6 5-speed manual RHD Grey metallic with copper velour interior 18,000 miles from new Factory specification includes air conditioning, electric windows, power steering, town and country horns, sundym glass, opening rear windows, front and rear seat belts. This remarkable right hand drive example has been cherished for its entire life. On close inspection the underside shows no signs of previous welding or corrosion, due partly to the vehicle having been Ziebart rustproofed by the first owner. The subsequent owner kept the car in dry storage and only used it occasionally in good weather, only selling the car due to emigrating. The next owner, a midlands based car collector, acquired it in 2014 having previously owned a 130 Coupe. It shared garage space with other Italian exotica including Lamborghini’s. Hence the last major service being carried out by renowned Lamborghini Specialists Colin Clarke Engineering. Designed by Pininfarina they are in my opinion perhaps the most elegant coupe of the era, even Enzo Ferrari drove one in period! Having cover only 18,000 miles from new this must be one of the very finest examples in existence today and RHD too.

Incredibly this stunning motor car has had only one registered owner since, a local lady who along with her husband completely and utterly cosseted and cherished her. Since arriving with us we have commissioned a full strip-down and bare metal repaint at our trusted prize winning body-shop due to age related marks and imperfections. When stripped back the body was found to be in remarkable order, just as we expected. 1967 Dino Spider 2.0 by Pininfarina Finished in Rosso red with black vinyl interior Introduced at the Turin Motor Show in October 1966, the Dino road cars came to be because Enzo Ferrari needed to homologate an engine for Formula 2 racing, the rules of which specified that the engine needed to be derived from a production road car, of which 500 examples had to be produced within 12 months. Since a small manufacturer such as Ferrari did not have the capacity to produce such numbers an agreement was made with Fiat. These early 2000 Fiat Dino’s featured the all aluminium V6 shared with the Dino 206GT, coupled to a 5-speed transmission. This particular example was imported last year from the North of Italy and is in remarkable condition. It retains its original vinyl interior and is even still fitted with its original steering wheel. The car was repainted some time ago whilst still in Italy, clearly to a very high standard. The bodywork is very straight indeed with excellent panel-gaps and since arriving here at Avantgarde we have had a new soft-top fitted. Now offered fully UK registered, a nicer example would be very difficult to source.
1991 348 tb LHD Finished in Rossa Corsa with Crema hide 14,650 kilometres from new Introduced in 1991 the Ferrari 348 was the final mid-engined V8 model developed by Enzo Ferrari before his death. Featuring a new 3.4 litre version of the normally aspirated quad-cam, four-valve-per-cylinder V8 producing 300BHP. Imported into the UK last year from Italy, prior to which in January 2016 it was fully serviced by Ferrari main agent Cronos SCAR of Ragusa. This included a cam-belt change, attention to the clutch, an overhaul of the air conditioning system and a FOC safety recall on fuel pipes. An unmolested, ultra-low mileage example offered here in the rarer and more desirable berlinetta coupe form. These 348’s are really coming into their own and just look better with every passing year.
