1968 300 SEL 6.3 LHD 106,000 miles from new Finished in DB-903 blue with navy leather interior Specification includes air conditioning, electric windows front and rear, front headrests, central locking, Becker Grand Prix radio. Sold new in Tacoma Washington USA to a Mr Roger W Peck, an ex-international league baseball player. Peck remained a figure in Baseball in later years, being president and manager of many Baseball teams. Indeed Peck Field & athletic complex still exists in Central Tacoma today. It is not clear exactly how long Peck owned the car for but records do show that the car remained in Washington until leaving the USA in 2014. The original service history booklet is present and records 19 services in the Washington area. Records indicate that around 1998 a Mr Ernest Brock of Puyallup Washington took ownership of the vehicle. Brock clearly maintained the car fastidiously as there are service invoices on file totalling over $16,000 during his ownership. In 2011 a Mr Ken Vogt, also of Puyallup Washington, purchased the car and continued with a similar maintenance regime and there invoices on file for circa $5,000. 1980 450 SEL W116 COMPLETE RESTORATION BY MERCEDES-BENZ CLASSIC CENTRE Finished in anthracite grey metallic with full black leather. Specification includes air conditioning, electric sunroof, front and rear electric windows, mexican-hat alloy wheels, front and rear head rests, Becker Mexico radio. The subject of a three year restoration by Mercedes-Benz Classic Centre in Fellbach, Stuttgart from 2000-2003. A photographic file of this restoration accompanies the vehicle. The quality of craftsmanship is every bit as staggering as one would expect at this level. The interior is quite simply exquisite with almost every inch of the interior trim covered in hand-stiched leather. Originally supplied new in Hong-Kong and first registered on 1st April 1980. In 2003 the restoration was commissioned by a wealthy native businessman and the car was shipped to Stuttgart. Once the restoration was completed the car was returned to Hong-Kong where it remained for nearly 10 years until early 2013 when the car was imported into the UK. 1977 2.7S RHD 92,000 miles from new Finished in arrow blue with black leather interior This vehicle has a very comprehensive history file detailing massive recent expenditure with highly reputable specialists. Servicing duties have been carried by various Porsche specialists, most recently Autofarm. Old MOT certificates are present dating back to 1984 During 2013-2014 the vehicle underwent a very high quality body restoration, it was stripped back to bare metal and repainted in its original arrow blue, the results of which are simply stunning. During this process various new seal were fitted including the important Targa roof seals. The original ‘period correct’ Becker Europa radio is fitted as are the original Fuchs wheels. 1988 300SL Automatic 23,500 miles from new Finished in Arctic white with blue sport cloth and navy soft top. Fitted with factory specification of rear seats, factory hard top, 15-hole alloy wheels, central locking, fire extinguisher, illuminating vanity mirrors. Supplied new by Charles Sidney Mercedes Benz of Bradford on 1st August 1988 this car has lived a very cosseted life only covering a very small mileage during its 28 year life. The history file contains 19 MOT certificates dating back to 1992 along with various servicing invoices. The original stamped service booklet is present along with all of the other original handbooks in the correct wallet. A very proper example indeed.
1965 DS19 ‘Usine Cabriolet’ by Chapron The DS Decap was designed by Chapron with the intention of offering it as an independent coach-built special. However, Citroen were so impressed that they bought the rights to the design. Still to be built by Chapron, using chassis’ supplied by Citroen, the car was offered alongside the saloon and break models through the Citroen dealer network. This particular LHD car was constructed by the factory in 1964 and supplied new to its first owner in Sweden in 1965. It was imported into the UK in 2014 and since then virtually all of the hydraulic components have been overhauled by highly regarded Citroen specialist Andrew Brodie Engineering Ltd at a cost of circa £6,000. The vehicle is equipped with front and rear seat belts, a very difficult task on a ‘Decap’ which cost in the region of £2,500 and being a Swedish supplied car has the very rare high level interior heaters. A factory cabriolet which still retains its original chassis and LHM2 hydraulic system, very rarely are these vehicles offered in such condition.

1971 Mercedes Benz 280SE 3.5 Coupe W111 Finished in deep red metallic with beige leather interior. Factory specification includes electric sunroof, power steering, front and rear electric windows. This beautiful vehicle has been the subject of a complete restoration by renowned Mercedes restoration specialist T & D Heaney which included a full body strip-down restoration, complete re-trim to exceptional standards (the seats are trimmed to the correct M-B patterns with correct seams and perforations), all suspension components were renewed/refinished and all brightwork re-chromed. A brand new modern air conditioning system has been fitted along with rear seat belts. As you can imagine this vehicle comes with a large file of service and restoration invoices totalling many thousands of pounds. Previously sold by ourselves, this was the cover feature car in classic Mercedes Magazine, indeed the editor quoted ‘When encountering an example in as fine shape as this, the W111 coupe is reaffirmed for my 10 cars to drive before you die list’.

We purchased it first time around from a gentleman who had owned and cherished it for nearly 30 years! It was always garaged during his ownership and certainly never used in rain and bad weather. Choosing to entrust servicing duties mostly to his local main dealer, the history file contains these invoices along with MOT’s dating back to 1977! More recently the car has been fitted with new carpets, a new soft top and has had concourse detailing to the engine compartment. At the time power was quoted at 192BHP which was a very impressive figure for the era. We have acquired this incredible car from the original owner who purchased it brand new on 1st June 1980 from Carl Norris BMW main agent of Kidderminster. It is an absolute timewarp car and is completely original right down to the original Phillips Turnlock radio cassette and Michelin XVS tyres. All of the factory labels are still present in the engine bay and the original tools and spare wheel are unused. There are 20 old MOT certificates in the history file and the last MOT was carried out on 24th November by their local BMW main dealer. Of course the original handbooks and service book are all present, along with the owners manual for the radio. An absolute delight.

1990 M3 2.3 78,000 miles/126,000km, finished in brilliant red with black leather interior, a euro AK05 215BHP catalyst model with 5-speed Getrag 265 “dogleg” gearbox. Supplied new on 23rd October 1990 by BMW Akteingesellscaft Munich and imported into the UK and registered October 2001 almost exactly 11 years after. This particular examples has been fastidiously maintained as detailed in the comprehensive history file. This includes the original service booklet along with a large folder of service invoices and MOT’s etc. Specification includes electric sunroof, central locking, 16″ BMW alloys wheels, electric mirrors. All of the original handbooks are present in their original folder and a full compliment of tools are in the tool-tray. Sold new on 17th August 1976 by Garage Selvosa Mercedes Benz of Cannes to a local businessman on the French Riviera. Avantgarde recently purchased this car from the last fastidious owner in Westerheim, Germany who had owned it for a 7 years and spent some 15,000 euros during his ownership on maintenance. Invoices for this expenditure are within the history file, along with all of his fuel receipts which confirm that he only ever filled up with high octane fuel! Since coming into stock we have fitted 4 new tyres onto newly refurbished alloys. The history file includes a large folder of invoices and paperwork.
