This superbly presented MKI Mini Saloon was first registered on the 01st Jan 1961 and was supplied brand new in a light blue to the Metropolitan Police Force and allocated the registration mark MDX958. Since this time it has had only two owners with the docs showing it was last sold in 1988, prior to our acquiring it on the 24.03.2012 as a barn find and putting it back on the road.
Mini's are fast appreciating; this has to be a good long term purchase.
During our ownership we have upgraded the brakes, engine, extra chrome etc as it was purchased as a first car for our daughter with it being a small engine but many origional features remain. It has the push button start, the horsehair seats which are now covered in a plasticised trim as seen in the pictures and many other features from when the car was first built.
Now christened Judy this car is part of the family but we must let her go, she has been off road for roughly two years whilst we debated what to do and during this time was stored at our garage business but now we have semi-retired and she is sat on our drive uunder a blaket waiting to be loved and cherished by a new family as we have. Unfortunately, during this time one of the aliminium trumpets which act as suspension struts has broken and needs replacing, so the car will have to be picked up on a low loader,
We are open to offers and although money is important to us as we have invested a substantial amount in this car to make her road worthy, we would also like her to go to a new home to be loved and cherished as we have,
Please note milage is slightly more then advertised at 15300.
