1959-1969 AUSTIN A55/A60 Cambridge (Farina) specifications

1959-1969 AUSTIN A55/A60 Cambridge (Farina) specifications Classic and Performance Car

Pininfarina styled Austin’s Cambridges for the 1960s and turned in a smart job. As fins were in, the A55 Cambridge had them but its underpinnings were much the same as with the previous series of Cambridges. The 1489cc engines struggled to shift these heavy cars so, in 1961, engine size was increased to 1622cc and the car renamed the A60. Other changes were an increased wheelbase and cropped fins as fashion was turning against flash styling. BMC badge engineering resulted in Morris, Wolseley, Riley and MG versions, too.
