The successor to the Devon ensured Austin kept on churning out large numbers of quality saloons for the masses. The styling’s more bulbous, but the separate chassis is much the same as before, though this time the brakes are low maintenance hydraulics. There’s another couple of bhp from the 1200cc engine, though they still won’t quite hit the national speed limit. Not particularly collectible, except for the convertible version. Rare in any condition, the good ones keep commanding ever-higher prices - currently double those of saloons.
