The Austin Healey 100 range of cars was so named by Donald Healey because it was one of only a few cars of the era that could achieve 100 mph. The 100/6 models from 1956-59 featured a 6 cylinder engine previously seen in the Westminster range of cars, it was tuned to produce 102 hp and the wheel base was also stretched by 2 inches to accommodate the 2 rear seats. This previous concours winning car comes to us in outstanding condition, it is finished in the most desirable of Healey colour schemes and the finish is superb, the leather upholstery is unmarked and restored to a very high standard and the chrome wire wheels are blemish free. When you open the bonnet you can really get a feel for the quality of restoration this car underwent, it is beautifully finished and with all its original features. A quick look to the undercarriage of the car and the wheel arches also reveals an unmarked paint finish. This example has been fitted with an easy lift soft top, meaning the roof can go up in a matter of seconds instead of minutes, a real bonus when caught in a summer shower and there is also a snug fitting full tonneau for when the car is in storage.
