Audi quattro (1983-1989) specifications

Audi quattro (1983-1989) specifications Classic and Performance Car

A few mild tweaks to the Audi quattro formula made it better than ever

Not one to sit on its laurels, Audi continued to develop the quattro (which is now retrospectively known as the ur-quattro). Big rectangular headlamps, RHD and a slightly larger engine came in 1983, with the controversial digital dashboard, an item you’re either going to love or hate, arriving the following year. But despite that, the basic recipe remained the same throughout the 1980s and drivers continued to love the grippy handling and that warbling five-cylinder soundtrack. Values have been steadily rising on the back of TV stardom.
