At the 2004 Geneva Auto Salon, Aston Martin previewed the new Sport Dynamic Package for the flagship V12 Vanquish that would offer customers a sharper, more focused drive over the standard car. Changes to the chassis included a stronger and stiffer front upright and wheel assembly with shorter springs, dropping the ride height by 5mm, and revised damper units. The steering was given higher gearing to make it 20% quicker, and the brakes were substantially revised at the front by increasing the disc diameter to 378mm (up from 355mm) and the fitment of a six-pot caliper to replace the original four-pot unit. The rear discs were also much thicker than before, and all were now identifiable by their elliptical grooving. Lastly, new 9-spoke lightweight alloy wheels were fitted to reduce the unsprung weight at each corner. It is believed just 94 examples were ever built by the factory before the Vanquish S was introduced at the end of the year, making this a very rare model indeed. This particular car was delivered to its first owner in Hong Kong and features a bespoke interior trimmed very tastefully in quilted alcantara.
