1953-1957 ASTON MARTIN DB2/4 specifications

1953-1957 ASTON MARTIN DB2/4 specifications Classic and Performance Car

The four tacked onto the DB2’s title denoted that this reworking of the theme could now fit four people... at a squeeze. The 2+2 seating was made more habitable by a higher roofline and opening rear screen – perhaps so those in the back could escape easily if it became too tight! However, the extra weight affected performance, so a boost to three litres in 1954 took power to 140bhp. The Mk2 of 1955 incorporated a rear-end restyle and a tougher back axle, and also introduced the incredibly rare notchback hardtop version, of which just 34 were made.
