1970-1978 AMC Gremlin specifications

1970-1978 AMC Gremlin specifications Classic and Performance Car

Possibly not the most astute choice of model name. And definitely not a wise launch date – 1 April 1970. But the Gremlin was a bit of a landmark for the American car industry, being the first domestic subcompact. The logic behind its creation was sound enough, as it was an American car to fight imports such the Volkswagen Beetle. But it was a flawed product, most notably in terms of interior space (it was basically on a shortened Hornet), and fuel economy (some were powered by a V8). A popular classic now, especially in the USA.
