1986-1991 ALPINE-RENAULT GTA V6 specifications

Known as the Alpine A610 in Europe, the GTA was a very effective update of the A310 V6. Although the basic layout was shared with the older car, the slippery new glassfibre body and expanded PRV V6 engine gave the standard model (which boasted 160bhp) a top speed of nearly 140mph. However, the GTA’s main forte was its handling. Despite the overhung rear engine, it provided huge lateral grip and near-flat cornering. Sales in the UK were pitiful and as a marketing exercise for Renault it was a huge failure. Buy one today and enjoy the attention.
