The team from Silverstone Auctions has launched CCA, a new auction house aimed at selling more affordable classic cars
A new auction house called CCA, or Classic Car Auctions, will be launched this March by the team that runs well-established Gaydon-based Silverstone Auctions. This new operation will focus on more affordable classics, up to around £25,000, running on the first Tuesday of every other month – starting with a special launch sale on 3 March.
Sales will take place out of the Formula 1 pit garages at the Silverstone Circuit, with around 100 cars expected at the first sale. CCA is going after the more accessible classic cars, and will charge a £60 consignment fee with a six per cent buyer and seller premium.
Auction Manager of CCA, Joe Watts, said: ‘Our aim with this new venture is to make buying and selling a classic car as easy and as straight-forward as possible, as well as to inject some energy into this area of the market. Our dedicated team of knowledgeable classic car specialists will provide sellers with honest and realistic estimates, combined with extensive marketing and well-presented sale days at a world famous, well connected venue which will help your car achieve a great price.’
Despite being separate from Silverstone Auctions, Classic Car Auctions will benefit from the more established auction house’s experience, with proven auctioneer Jonathan Humbert taking the reigns for the CCA sales.
