Classic Car Auctions will take on annual charity auction at CarFest South event in August
Classic Car Auctions are to host a special charity auction at CarFest South, selling off more than 100 cars alongside a host of motoring entertainment.
The organisers say the cars on offer will be ‘remarkable’ and will offer an unmissable opportunity for classic car enthusiasts to purchase something special at the sale – taking place at Jody Scheckter’s Laverstock Park Farm, Hampshire on Saturday August 29.
Special charity lots have also been lined up, where 100 percent of the hammer price, plus sale fees, will be donated to the event’s charity of choice – BBC Children in Need. CCA hope to add to the £3.5m raised for the charity since it started fundraising in 2012.
CarFest is one of the UK’s most popular classic car events. Founded by BBC DJ and classic car aficionado Chris Evans, the event has attracted more than 265,000 classic car fans in it first three years with a mixture of music and motoring entertainment, car club meets and a hill climb event.
Guy Lees-Milne, General Manager at CCA, said: ‘We’re delighted to support Chris Evans and his efforts in raising important funds for Children in Need.
‘There’s going to be some amazing vehicles up for sale and I’m confident it will help add significant funds.’
