Age: 1965 Transmission: Manual Built in 1965, first owner was Swiss Hans Wild who used it as a road car. In 1969 the car passed to its second owner, another Swiss, hill climbing legend Walter Pauli. He competed with the car until 1972 before retiring the car and keeping it in his showroom until 1987 when he sold it to Swiss collector Albert Obrist. Obrist had the car restored by ex Autodelta Angelo Chiapparini’s workshop in Milan. He also had a race tuned twin plug engine installed keeping the original engine to one side – both engines have stayed with the car. In 1995 Bernie Ecclestone acquired the Obrist Collection and kept the car until 2000 when it was sold to John Coombs of Jaguar fame. Coombs kept the car for two years and in 2002 Adrian Hamilton sold the car to the current owner. In 2003, the current owner commissioned Neil Twyman to carry out further restoration work with the emphasis on originality which was completed to a meticulous standard. Since 2008 Ian Nuthall has maintained the car for this fastidious owner with the most recent work being completed in May 2016.
