1954-1963 AC Aceca-AC specifications Classic and Performance Car

Introduced for 1955, the Aceca was a grand touring coupé version of the Ace, offering more luxury than the roadster that fully justified its extra cost. The basic chassis followed the lines of the Ace, but with heavier-duty main rails, an extra crossmember and rubber mountings for the differential to reduce the amount of road noise transmitted to the cabin. For similar reasons, glassfibre front and rear bulkheads were used. Rather than the tubes of the Ace, doors and tailgate were wood-framed in the traditional manner. Only 151 examples were built.
