Shelsley Walsh Classic Nostalgia – F1 Through the Ages announced

Shelsley Walsh Classic Nostalgia – F1 Through the Ages announced Classic and Performance Car

Some of the most iconic Formula 1 cars from various eras will be celebrated during Shelsley Walsh’s Classic Nostalgia weekend on 28-29 July.

The theme for this year’s Classic Nostalgia weekend, taking place from 28-29 July, is to be F1 Through the Ages. As the name suggests, a paddock full of Formula 1 cars will be open to the public, including cars from from 1950s right through to the some of the most modern machinery. They won’t just be sat in the paddock all weekend though, with planned F1 demo runs up the hill for some of the cars.

Shelsley Walsh turns 113 years old this year, and the Classic Nostalgia event is a genuine highlight of the calendar. Other attractions will include a ‘Future Classics’ parade, F2 competition, pre-1980s Sports Cars & Racing Cars, classic motorcycle demonstration and many owners club parades. Also taking place during the weekend will be the Ralli 22 Group A, Group B and WRC Rally Car Competition.

The Historic Rally Car Register will be in attendance, and there are to be a number of hillclimb championship rounds running. These will include the BOC Aldon Automotive Classic Speed Championship, Austin Healey Club Healeysport Speed Championship, Revington TR/TR Register Sprint & Hill Climb Championship, 500 Owners Association Speed Championship, Bert Hadley Memorial Championship and JDC 4-Hills & Sprint Championship.

As part of a new partnership, Octane will be hosting a classic pre-1985 concours during the event – to be judged by a member of the Octane team.

Advanced tickets are on sale at £21 per day (£25 on the gate), with weekend advanced tickets available for £36. Those who want to camp can do so for £10, and there is an evening social event planned for 7pm on Saturday evening.
